State level Sanjhi Utsav-2023 concluded, Winners honored with cash prizes

Chandigarh, (KK) – In a concerted effort to preserve and propagate Haryanvi culture, Haryana Art and Cultural Affairs Department in association with Haryana Lok Kala Sangh, Rohtak have jointly organized a state-level Sanjhi Utsav-2023 program.

The programme which is organized under the guidance of Principal Secretary, Art and Culture Affairs Department Sh. V Umashankar and Director General Dr. Amit Agrawal, is an initiative to introduce the younger generation with the rich Haryanvi culture as well as to preserve the same. Under this, various competition were conducted from October 15 to 24, witnessing enthusiastic participation from rural women, as well as school and college students from all corners of the state.

In the state-level Sanjhi Utsav and competition, the winner were awarded the first prize of Rs. 51,000, the second prize of Rs. 31,000, the third prize of Rs. 21,000, and two consolation prizes of Rs. 11,000 each. Recognizing the dedication and talent of the women participants in the Sanjhi competition, the department has decided to confer six incentive awards, each carrying a reward of Rs. 5,100. In addition, every woman and girl student participating in the state-level competition will receive a citation and a prize of Rs. 1,100 each.

As part of the state-level Sanjhi Utsav, captivating Sanjhi songs and dances were showcased from October 22 to October 24, featuring the spirited participation of approximately 200 women from across the state.

In the state-level Sanjhi festival and competition, the top honors went to Manju of Rohtak, who received the first prize of Rs. 51,000, followed by Sangeeta, who secured the second prize of Rs. 31,000. Sneh Dhull earned the third prize, amounting to Rs. 21,000, while Rekha and Suneet Rani of Jind were awarded the fourth and fifth prizes, each carrying a cash prize of Rs. 11,000. The incentive award recipients included Anjali and Sheelam of Jhajjar, Indu Bhavna of Rohtak, Amita Dhanda of Panchkula and Sita and Suman of Sonipat, each receiving a cash award of Rs. 5,100.
