Chandigarh (KK)- Haryana Government has decided to implement 103 new projects worth over Rs. 51 crore under Rural Augmentation programme in 5 districts namely Fatehabad Panipat, Karnal, Panchkula and Ambala.

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval for these projects to be implemented by the Public Health Engineering Department here today.

Giving more information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that new works include Laying of Balance Sewer line in Various Streets of Bhuna Town of District Fatehabad at a cost of Rs. 3.82 crore, Laying the sewer lines in balance streets in village Sewah, District Panipat at a cost of Rs. 2.65 crore, Providing of Distribution System at Village Beholi Block Samalkha, District Panipat at a cost of Rs. 1.40 crore, Laying of D.I. Pipe Line in place of Old Ac/Pvc Damaged Pipe Line in Village Khandra, District Panipat at a cost of Rs. 89.35 lakh, Providing and installing deep tubewell against abandoned tubewell and laying of D.I. pipe line in place of old AC/PVC damaged pipe line in village Shera, District Panipat at a cost of Rs. 61.55 lakh, Laying of DI pipeline in place of old AC/PVC damage pipeline in village Narah, Israna, Distt. Panipat at a cost of Rs. 55.69 lakh, Providing and Installation, Erection, Testing, Commissioning of D.G. Set at District Lab, Panipat at a cost of Rs. 5.97 Lakh.

The spokesperson said that the approved projects also includes Providing sewerage facility and construction of sewage treatment plant at village Ballah, Distt. Karnal at a cost of Rs. 20.69 crore, Laying of Parallel/New D.I. Pipe Line in various villages of Gharaunda, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 1.32 crore, Laying of Parallel/New D.I. Pipe line block Kunjpura, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 90.52 lakh, Drilling of Tubewell in lieu of abandoned Tubewell and laying of DI pipeline in parallel of old existing AC/PVC pipeline in village Pundrak, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 63.89 lakh, Laying of Parallel/new D.I. pipe line in village Sheikhopura, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 53.67 lakh, Laying of DI pipe and installed of PVC tubewell in village Udana, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 59.75 lakh, Drilling of one no. additional Tubewell and laying of DI pipe in parallel of old existing AC/PVC pipeline in village Sambhli, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 48.27 lakh, Sambhli- Drilling of PVC Tubewell and providing water supply facility in village Sambhli, BPL colony, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 30.43 lakh, Replacement of old pumping machineries of various water works of Rural Area Nilokheri, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 26.94 lakh, Laying of DI pipeline in parallel of old existing AC/PVC pipeline in village Rahra, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 23.28 lakh, Consultancy service charges for conducting survey and preparation of estimate on HEW Portal along with hard copy for providing water supply and sewerage system including STP in village Salwan, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 17.21 lakh, Laying of DI pipeline in parallel of old existing AC/PVC pipeline in Daya Nagar, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 23.42 lakh, Laying of DI pipeline in parallel of existing old AC/PVC pipeline in Gholpura, Karnal at a cost of Rs. 23.44 lakh.

Panchkula at a cost of Rs. 4.81 lakh.  

The spokesperson further stated that Haryana is a forerunner in providing piped drinking water supply facilities as well as waste water treatment facilities in the rural areas.
