Sachin Tendulkar's life-size bronze statue unveiled at Wankhede Stadium

A life-size bronze statue of Bharat Ratna and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was unveiled at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today. It has been unveiled on the eve of the World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka which will take place at the stadium tomorrow. The statue is a celebration of 50 years of the sporting icon, who turned 50 in April this year.

The ceremony was attended by Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, NCP leader Sharad Pawar, BCCI secretary Jai Shah, vice-president Rajeev Shukla among others.
