Deputy Commissioners Gear Up for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and Gita Mahotsav
Chandigarh,(KK) - The Gita Mahotsav promises to be a harmonious celebration of spirituality, culture, and unity, fostering connections across communities in Haryana said, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sh. Rajesh Khullar in a meeting with Deputy Commissioners of the State while reviewing the preparedness of the same.
In the detailed review session with Deputy Commissioners, Sh. Khullar emphasized the need for meticulous planning to ensure the seamless and well-organized observance of Gita Jayanti throughout the state. The atmosphere is one of unity and fervor, as the state prepares to embrace this auspicious occasion. The celebrations will begin with a special exhibition from December 17-24 at all District Headquarters, highlighting the spiritual essence of the Gita. On December 22, District Headquarters will come alive with cultural performances, setting the stage for a lively celebration. On December 23, 1800 students will enchant with Gita Slokas, a Shobha Yatra will take place, and an awe-inspiring 15 lakh Deep Daan will illuminate the districts.
In a unique endeavor, earthen clay from 164 tiraths within the 48 kos of Kurukshetra, including districts like Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, and Panipat, will be brought to Kurukshetra. District Commissioners are diligently tasked with enhancing the programmes quality and identifying suitable locations within their districts. The Gita Mahotsav promises to be a harmonious celebration of spirituality, culture, and unity, fostering connections across communities in Haryana. Sh. Rajesh Khullar solicited active participation and cooperation from all districts to make this event a resounding success, emphasizing the significance of cultural unity and spiritual enlightenment.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra to Illuminate Rural Haryana with Government Schemes
Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Haryana, Sh. Rajesh Khullar, held a thorough review meeting for the upcoming Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra scheduled to be flagged off on November 30. The meeting was attended by concerned Administrative Secretaries and senior officials at Chandigarh main secretariat and all the Deputy Commissioners of the Districts through Video Conferencing. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign he said, is designed to increase public awareness of various government flagship schemes through outreach activities. Its primary goal is to reach those who are eligible for various schemes but have not yet availed benefits due to lack of awareness or other reasons. The campaign also aims to share information and gather insights by interacting with beneficiaries through testimonials, providing a platform for direct feedback from the beneficiaries. The Yatra should be made festive and celebrated in its true essence and spirit, he said.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra seeks to cover almost every gram panchayat in the country. In Punjab, 13,646 locations will be covered, while in Haryana, the campaign will reach 6,537 locations, and in Himachal Pradesh, 3,799 locations are targeted. A fleet of 129 IEC (Information, Education & Commiunication Van will cover Urban and Rural areas in Punjab & Haryana. These specially designed vans shall disseminate knowledge through audio-visuals, brochures, pamphlets, booklets, and standees in local languages. The yatra focuses on key areas such as sanitation, financial services, electricity, LPG connections, housing, food security, healthcare, clean water, and more. Various camps will be set up by departments like Revenue, Rural Development, Postal, Health, Agriculture & Farmers welfare which will provide immediate services.
Sh. Rajesh Khullar expressed confidence in the positive impact of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, reaffirming the government’s commitment to reach out to the last person standing. Sh. Khullar highlighted that the government of Haryana is committed to the principles of Antyodaya, ensuring that the advantages of government policies extend to the most marginalized individuals in the socio-economic hierarchy. This commitment underscores a focus on inclusivity and social justice in governance.
Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister & Director General, Information, Public Relations, Languages & Culture, Haryana, Dr. Amit Agrawal stated that this is a wonderful opportunity for public outreach and constructive feedback regarding the policies and schemes. He further stated that 2 to 3 IEC vans will be sent in all districts before November 28. He further directed that internet connectivity, location and all other arrangements should be ensured well in advance. He emphasized that the program should be organized on a grand scale to engage the maximum number of people.
He apprised the officers that 2 development movies of Central Government and one video message of Haryana CM will be showcased on the Van. He added that DCs should ensure that secondary school level students, college students should actively participate in the programme. He apprised that the Jan Bhagidari events, including interaction with beneficiaries, on-the-spot quiz competitions, drone demonstrations, and health camps, will form an integral part of the ground activities. He further directed that the control room will be set up in all districts to ensure the smoothness of Yatra and daily report should also be uploaded on the website. 'Hamara Bharat Viksit Bharat' oath will be administered wherever the programme is scheduled, he stated. He further directed DCs to ensure a help desk of Ayush Camp, Sewa, Property ID rectification, CRID, CSC operators, Registration desk for My Bharat Volunteer, PM Ujjawala Scheme, Self Help Group stalls whatever the Vans will move. He also added that Nehru Yuva volunteers should also be engaged with the programmes. He also asked officers to arrange accommodation, food and other necessities for the volunteers.
